Robert Frost said it best: “Taking the road less traveled by has made all the difference.” In Going Rogue, I wanted to explore a new take on the traditional pineapple pattern, asking what if that traditional, symmetrical pattern found an independent streak and struck out on a new course? That new path, combined with paper piecing, a limited color palette, a focus on value, and more than 50 different fabrics, resulted in a quilt that, to me, celebrates independence and the joy one can find by setting forth in a new direction.
